A fortified masia with five centuries of history
Almiral de la Font is a listed building and one of the finest examples of the Catalan basilica-style masia in the Garraf area. Built before 1570 and extended in 1805 by the Almirall family, it takes its name from that family and from the spring (font) on its land.
A careful restoration has turned the house into a luxury villa of more than a thousand square metres, with modern comfort and its original features on show: the old wine cellar, the wine presses and the stone walls. From its hillside setting, views open out to the sea and the mountains of Garraf Natural Park.
Outdoor spaces to enjoy all day
The star is the 20-metre infinity pool, solar-heated and looking out over the landscape, alongside a children's pool and a hot tub for up to ten people.
The large tiled courtyard, with palm and citrus trees, is complemented by a Moroccan-style chill-out lounge, barbecue, tables shaded by the vine, a tree house with two decks for aperitifs, a trampoline, table tennis, pétanque and a basketball area.
All around are more than 137 hectares of private estate with 14 kilometres of paths through vineyards, olive and fruit trees, and direct access to Garraf for hiking and mountain biking.
Interiors with a Mediterranean soul
The main house has 13 bedrooms, all en suite, decorated with warm colours, timber and characterful pieces. Many open onto terraces and balconies with views.
Shared spaces are made for groups: a living room with a large-screen TV, a lounge with a Scandinavian fireplace, a home cinema with surround sound, a billiards and games room in the old cellar, a children's playroom, a gym, a sauna and a meeting room. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped, and the whole house has central heating, air conditioning and wifi.
Next to the masia, a separate cottage with its own kitchen and bathroom sleeps 4 or 5 more guests. It is only rented together with the main house.
Weddings and events on a private estate
Almiral de la Font is an exceptional setting for weddings, celebrations and company events near Sitges and Barcelona: outdoor ceremonies with views, cocktails in the bougainvillea-filled courtyard and banquets in the old wine cellar.
The estate has a banquet and meeting hall and can arrange extra services such as a chef, a marquee and catering equipment.
Wine and cava from the estate
The vineyards of Almiral de la Font, in the heart of the Penedès region, produce grapes for the estate's own white wine and cava. A perfect way to toast at home and to discover one of Spain's best-known wine areas, with Vilafranca del Penedès fifteen minutes away.
