The pool is the heart of the estate: long, lined with loungers and parasols, with the stone tower behind it. At dusk, when the lights come on, it is the best spot in the house.
Around it stretches a lawned garden with tall pines and palm trees, hanging chairs and a Balinese-style chill-out pavilion with white curtains.
Next to the house, a covered porch with a long table sets the scene for unhurried meals, and at night the garden becomes a dining room under string lights.
Interiors with character
The house keeps the traditional architecture of a masia: beamed ceilings, white walls and warm floors. The living room, with deep sofas and a fireplace, is where everyone gathers on cooler evenings.
The dining room centres on a large wooden table for the whole group. Bedrooms mix antique furniture with touches such as canopy beds, and the bathrooms are bright and practical.
